Job description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automated test equipment and test processes used to validate electronic and avionics-related products. This individual will work across hardware and software disciplines to develop reliable, scalable, and efficient testing solutions while partnering with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

- Great employee longevity!, * Create and maintain software applications using LabVIEW and related National Instruments platforms.
- Design test hardware, electrical interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
- Develop test procedures, validation plans, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot test systems and identify root causes of product and equipment issues.
- Support new product development, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve testing processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance (Level III).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Level II: 3+ years of related experience.
- Level III: 5+ years of related experience (8+ years preferred).
- Strong experience developing applications in LabVIEW.
- Experience designing and implementing Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Experience with National Instruments PXI-based systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with test system development, data acquisition, and hardware integration.
- Understanding of avionics or industrial communication protocols such as:
- CAN
- ARINC 429
- RS-232
- I2C
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, defense, avionics, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- National Instruments LabVIEW certification.
- Experience with TestStand, C#, Python, or similar development environments.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience supporting manufacturing test environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management and verification processes.
Due to the nature of the work and applicable government regulations, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and meet eligibility requirements for access to controlled technical information.

- Base salary: $95,000 - $135,000
