Job description
This role involves supporting Department of Defense programs by applying Configuration Management (CM) principles. You will assist with maintaining configuration baselines, processing engineering changes, and ensuring program documentation complies with CM standards. The position requires reviewing, tracking, archiving, and distributing configurate controlled documentation while coordinating with engineering and program teams., * Apply Configuration Management (CM) principles to engineering documentation, technical data, and program artifacts.
- Maintain configuration baselines and process engineering changes.
- Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
- Ensure program documentation complies with CM standards.
- Review, track, archive, and distribute configurate controlled documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and program teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of CM activities.
Requirements
Education: A High School diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience with CM, or a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience with CM is required.
Experience: 2+ years of experience working with minimal supervision as a Configuration Management (CM) specialist and 1+ years of experience reviewing government documents, briefs, and engineering drawings.
Technical Skills:
- Experience working with Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO).
- Experience with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional for document assembly and editing.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with Teamcenter.
- Experience with engineering or hardware CM.
- Knowledge of technical data for the design, operation, and maintenance of complex systems.
- Knowledge of other system engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of Cameo and Inventor.
- Configuration Management (CM) Certification.
