Job description
We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting Windows systems, supporting end users, and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced IT environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide onsite desktop and deskside support for end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows 10/11 hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, VPN, and other business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve printer, scanner, and peripheral connectivity issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
- Image, deploy, and configure new computers using SCCM, MDT, Autopilot, or other deployment tools.
- Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and equipment replacements.
- Support mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Create, update, and document incidents and service requests using an ITSM ticketing system.
- Provide timely communication and outstanding customer service while meeting SLA expectations.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
- Assist with IT projects including office moves, equipment refreshes, Windows upgrades, and technology rollouts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Desktop Support, Help Desk, or End User Computing experience.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and basic account administration.
- Knowledge of SCCM, MDT, Microsoft Intune, or Autopilot is a plus.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, or similar.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with 500+ users.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Knowledge of Office 365 administration.
