Technical Architect
Location: North West / Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £85,000
Maxwell Bond have partnered with an innovative SaaS business in the utilities sector that’s investing heavily in its technology platform. They’re looking for a Technical Architect to lead the future technical direction of their customer platform as they transition from a single-tenant to a multi-tenant architecture.
This is a strategic, hands-on architecture role where you’ll work closely with engineering leadership to define technical standards, shape platform design and drive the adoption of modern cloud and AI technologies.
What you’ll do as Technical Architect:
- Own the platform architecture and technical roadmap, leading the transition to a scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- Act as the technical design authority, guiding architectural decisions across APIs, integrations, data platforms and cloud services.
- Define modern solutions across event-driven architecture, AI, orchestration and API strategy, balancing technical excellence with commercial considerations.

- Experience communicating with both engineering teams and senior stakeholders, with knowledge of AI technologies and the Microsoft ecosystem being highly desirable.
Requirements
