Job description
| ? Mid-Level Front Office Developer | Trading Applications | C# .NET | Azure | 120,000 | London (Hybrid) |
I’m currently hiring for a leading trading firm that is building out next-generation front-office trading applications. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performance engineering team at the early stages of a major build, working closely with traders and quants to deliver low-latency, high-throughput solutions that sit at the core of the firm’s trading operations.
The business is heavily investing in modernising its front-office technology, with all new development built in C# .NET and deployed on Azure. The focus is on speed, scalability, and resilience designing systems capable of supporting complex pricing, risk calculations, and real-time trading workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with traders, quants, and senior engineers, using quantitative libraries and data-intensive tools to help shape the next generation of the firm’s trading platform.
As a Mid-Level Front Office Developer, you will design and build new trading services, drive architectural decisions, and take ownership of key components across the trading lifecycle, including pricing engines, risk calculations, and real-time trade capture all within a performance-critical front-office environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4-5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer in a C# .NET environment
- Hands-on experience developing front-office trading applications
- Strong knowledge of risk and trading workflows, ideally within interest-rate, FX, or derivatives products
- Experience working closely with quants and using quantitative libraries for pricing, risk, or analytics
- Proven ability to build low-latency, high-throughput systems
- Strong understanding of system design, event-driven architecture & microservices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a greenfield or evolving front-office environment with autonomy and ownership
