IT Technician

This temporary role is established specifically to support the I.T. Department during the summer maintenance window and a scheduled building refresh project. The primary focus is on high-volume hardware preparation (imaging) and physical inventory documentation required for infrastructure updates. This role is short-term and project-dependent, with a defined end date upon the completion of summer deliverables., * System Deployment (Imaging): Executing standardized OS imaging and software deployment on laptop computers to prepare them for the upcoming academic year.

• Infrastructure Documentation: Tagging, labeling, and documenting cable locations and network endpoints across campus in preparation for a scheduled building refresh.
• Asset Management: Assisting with the intake, unboxing, and organizational logging of I.T. hardware and equipment.
• Departmental Assistance: Providing supplemental support for short-term technical tasks as assigned by the I.T. team to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, move, and transport hardware and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Organizational Skills: High attention to detail regarding asset tagging and maintaining accurate location logs.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong “people skills” and the ability to communicate effectively with staff during campus-wide site visits.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic familiarity with computer hardware; experience with system imaging or basic troubleshooting is a plus.
