• Location: Harbour Exchange Square, London
• Mode: Hybrid(2 days to office)

JobPurpose:

TheInfrastructure Architect plays a key role in CVS architecture / technologydivision. The role involves producing designs and overseeing the implementationof solutions encompassing hardware, software, and security to ensureperformance, scalability, and reliability; bridging business needs on-premises,cloud, and hybrid environments.

This roleinvolves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand businessrequirements, providing technical leadership, and ensuring designs meet CVSarchitectural principles and security standards. The architect should be astrong technologist that is very aware of current developments in thetechnology spectrum.

KeyResponsibilities

• Producehigh-quality high-level Design documentation describing technical systemssolutions, providing overall design direction and recommendations forresolution of complex technical issues.
• Analyseexisting Design documents, find recommended options in the market, producepresentations to the Architect team with options and reasoning and laterproceed with Design documents.
• Providetechnical leadership and direction to the IT engineering, delivery and testteams throughout implementation phases.
• Supportthe Enterprise Architects in the development of infrastructure road maps tosupport the evolution of the technical and digital portfolios from current tofuture state.
• Act asliaison between Architecture and Engineering and direct the development oftechnical standards and platforms, quality, and best practices.

RequiredSkills and Experience

• Strongtechnical knowledge including Microsoft technologies, Red Hat Linux, datacentre and cloud, enterprise networking: WAN/LAN/WLAN, routing, firewall,ID/IP/IPS, WAN optimization, proxy, VPN services, load balancing, and ITsecurity.
• Experience designing, documenting, integrating, and managing complexinfrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Knowledgeof networking, storage and server hardware configuration and design.
• Goodknowledge of cloud networking (AWS and Azure) components.
• Abilityto communicate solutions to other stakeholders.
• Abilityto assess and recommend third-party tools and systems to complement existingofferings.
• Knowledgeof security design.
• Goodknowledge of risk management.
• Workclosely with other architecture disciplines including Enterprise,Infrastructure and Security, as well Engineering and Operations.
• Providetechnical guidance to team members and other stakeholders.
• Identifyand recommend opportunities for efficiency.
• Stayupdated on new features and capabilities and best practices.
• Abilityto deal with ambiguity and manage diversity.
• Shareknowledge within the team and contribute to the organization’s learningculture.

Educationand Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relatedfield (or equivalent work experience).
• Industryrecognized certifications such as TOGAF, CITA, RHCA.
