Job description
This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a U.S. citizen.
Responsible for administering and securing Network, Web, and communication systems, including LAN/WAN. Duties include managing user access, maintaining servers, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security. Administers software updates, manages e-mail systems, and troubleshoots issues. Provides technical guidance, creates documentation, and ensures compliance with DoD and industry standards. Manages data integrity, network topologies, and prepares implementation plans for system upgrades and new installations., * Administer and secure Network, Web, and communication systems (LAN/WAN).
- Manage user access, security, and privilege levels for hospital Internet/Intranet.
- Administer accounts, profiles, email, chat, and FTP for up to 2,000 users.
- Maintain servers, ensure links between servers and end users, and manage backups.
- Monitor system performance, report CPU, disk usage, and response times.
- Install and document software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Resolve software issues, write/modify scripts, and provide technical guidance.
- Manage, maintain, and document IM/IT systems.
- Maintain data integrity, configure, monitor, and update data files.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Analyze and document network and system requirements.
- Prepare technical implementation plans and manage new system installations.
- Research and evaluate vendor hardware/software products.
- Comply with DoD, DHA, HIPAA, and NIST standards.
- Document network activity and monitor network performance and intranet accessibility.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree preferred
- Personnel performing the system administration function shall maintain Security+ certification at a minimum. CISSP or equivalent certification/education is desired.
- Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing.
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
