Job description

We are looking for a motivated technology and specials project coordinator to lead and manage project teams for the successful execution of projects. This is a 6+ month contract or short term employment arrangement. The position will manage multiple IT projects/programs simultaneously. Duties include exploring technologies, contract development, developing and managing plans to meet projects’ goals, building and maintaining project timeframes working closely with team members; and coordinating team members and processes to keep project on time, within scope and a budget. The successful candidate will have proven working experience in managing projects in the information technology area and ability to use project management skills for other, non-technology projects using project management tools, developing schedules and coordinating meetings. Working in a small office, the project manager will also assist in tasks to ensure completion. The ideal candidate should have 3 years of project management experience with information technology projects and other special projects and a technology background. Ultimately, a successful project manager will timely advance the organization’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and review of contracts and scope of work documents
  • Setting project scope and objectives and developing a plan to meet those objectives
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budgets
  • Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and staff
  • Coordinating project team members and developing individual responsibilities
  • Serving as a working team member, completing assigned project tasks
  • Mastering understanding of programs to capture requirements and goals
  • Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
  • Conducting risk assessments for projects
  • Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
  • Maintaining project documentation, * This is a part-time position for at least 6 months. Please only apply if seeking part-time work, 5 - 15 hours a week

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Working experience of at least 3 years in project administration in information technology sector

  • Technical background, with hand-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Educational background, preferably in computer science, engineering, business
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software
  • PMP certification is a plus, * Associate (Required), * project administration: 3 years (Required)
