Job description
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive program execution for our uLED backplane silicon programs, from early development through high-volume manufacturing. This role involves managing stakeholders and dependencies, working with internal cross-functional partners and external foundry and silicon vendors. The position requires translating vendor milestones into schedules, tracking dependencies, and ensuring effective communication across all teams., * Run recurring meetings and program reviews to align internal uLED, test, packaging, and sourcing teams.
- Track decisions, surface dependencies and risks, and resolve gaps to prevent escalation.
- Manage interfaces with external foundry and silicon vendor partners through regular meetings and reviews.
- Drive vendors to execute against specified requirements and maintain integrated program schedules.
- Maintain authoritative trackers for program status across internal and external workstreams.
- Produce milestone readouts and decision items for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain a risk register covering technical execution, vendor delivery, and schedule risks.
- Drive mitigation plans with named owners and produce risk summaries for leadership.
Requirements
Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a technical program manager or equivalent project management experience in a hardware or silicon development environment. Experience working with external vendors, contract manufacturers, or foundries is required, along with exposure to hardware development phases such as prototype, qualification, and mass production.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to coordinate execution across multiple engineering teams and translate high-level commitments into actionable schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting program status and risk. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive decisions from incomplete information., * Experience supporting semiconductor programs across foundry, OSAT, or silicon vendor interfaces.
- Familiarity with display silicon, uLED, or related electro-optical technologies.
- Experience managing programs with multiple external vendors.
- Experience working across timezones with international partners.
- Working knowledge of program tracking and milestone reporting tools such as Smartsheet or Jira.
- Experience translating engineering status and risk into briefings for leadership.
- Experience supporting consumer device programs from prototype validation through mass production.
