Job description

The Sales Performance Analytics team is responsible for managing all aspects of data and reporting for insurance sales at Ally. The team oversees a cloud data platform, providing top-line reporting solutions, business intelligence analytics, and industry and competitor analysis to key stakeholders across Ally’s auto and insurance-related business. The team’s goal is to drive growth by transforming data into actionable insights that lead to measurable results. They work collaboratively to ensure that insights inform strategic decision-making and contribute to the success of the business. We are looking for a passionate Senior Analyst (Advanced Business Analytics) with excellent communication skills to be part our team. This role provides the opportunity to contribute in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, leveraging the latest technologies to drive meaningful impact! At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The Work Itself

  • Support the sales organization in achieving corporate objectives.
  • Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure used by field operations to gauge performance and internal teams to perform analysis.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly routine reporting deliverables.
  • Lead analytics projects which require technical sophistication, application of business knowledge and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and quickly provide results and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and team members to provide insights and facilitate the integration of new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Provide technical and analytical support to the team members.
  • Ensure data validity and accuracy, adhering to compliance policies and procedures.
  • Engage in a culture of Diversity and Inclusion.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 3+ years’ experience in financial services or related industry.

  • 3+ years of Experience with relational database concepts and query languages (SQL, PL-SQL), experience with Snowflake/Oracle/Other Databases.
  • 3+ years of Experience with business intelligence reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau (or similar) highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED requited. Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivot, charts, formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication (active listening, follow up, written skills) with problem-solving, critical thinking, and organization skills.
  • Candidate must be eager to learn new processes and systems and remain comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ideal candidate would also demonstrate ability to recommend process and procedure improvements to increase effectiveness.
  • Attention to details and commitment to data integrity.
