Job description

A key responsibility of the C++ Software Engineer will be to develop and maintain the integration of the company’s technology across a range of media frameworks, players and encoding systems, with a primary focus on FFmpeg and GStreamer.

A significant part of the role involves investigating interoperability, performance and platform specific behaviour across operating systems, devices and third party applications, then feeding improvements back into the core integration layers and APIs alongside the internal development teams.

The C++ Software Engineer will also produce tests, sample applications and integration documentation used by customers and partners, and will contribute changes upstream to open source projects where appropriate.

Requirements

Commercial software development in C and/or C++ System level development or debugging on Linux and/or Windows Experience in at least one of FFmpeg, GStreamer, video encoding, mobile or browser media, WebRTC, or GPU accelerated processing C++ Software Engineer desirable experience:

Video codecs and streaming formats such as H.264/AVC, HEVC, AV1, VVC, HLS, MPEG-DASH or CMAF Android media development using Media3/ExoPlayer, MediaCodec or the Android NDK Apple platform development using Swift, Objective-C, AVFoundation or VideoToolbox GPU, cloud, real time or VR/AR development
