Data Manager | Independent Secondary School | Birmingham

You’ll be responsible for a range of data-related duties, including:

• Managing and maintaining the school’s MIS
• Keeping student records accurate and up to date
• Coordinating assessment and reporting cycles
• Producing reports and analysis for senior leaders
• Managing data collection deadlines
• Supporting examination and curriculum data
• Assisting with timetabling and option information
• Preparing statutory returns and census information
• Responding to staff data queries and resolving issues
• Checking data quality and maintaining accurate records
• Reviewing and improving existing data processes
• Supporting staff with the use of school systems

It would suit someone who already has experience managing data within a school and is looking for a role with genuine responsibility and variety., The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with school data, preferably within a secondary setting.

You’ll need strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with an MIS such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or a similar system.

The ability to manage deadlines, work independently and communicate effectively with different members of staff is important. You’ll also need to be comfortable dealing with sensitive information and understand the importance of accuracy.
