Job description

A confidential public-sector utility organization is seeking a Maximo Mobile Analyst to support an Asset Intelligence Solutions Mobile Program. The hiring team is specifically seeking a candidate with strong hands-on experience using the IBM Maximo Mobile application.

This role will support end users, troubleshoot field issues, and assist with developing and modifying Maximo inspection forms used for plant operations, including generation, transmission, substation operator rounds, and security inspections. The analyst will also support program coordination, documentation, task tracking, and governance activities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting a fast-paced, technically complex operational environment.

Responsibilities

Train mobile end users on IBM Maximo Mobile and Maximo Spatial.

Provide ongoing technical and functional support to Maximo Mobile users.

Troubleshoot and resolve field-reported issues while minimizing disruption to operations.

Develop, revise, and modify Maximo inspection forms for plant operations.

Support inspection activities involving generation, transmission, substation operator rounds, and security.

Work with the inspection-form review team to evaluate new forms and proposed modifications.

Develop and recommend inspection activities based on operational requirements.

Prepare meeting agendas, take detailed notes, and distribute action items and follow-up materials.

Create, edit, and format professional documents and presentations using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, and SharePoint.

Develop and maintain governance materials, including SOPs, process matrices, workflows, compliance logs, templates, and checklists.

Track program tasks, deadlines, dependencies, calendars, action items, and project dashboards.

Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to support the timely completion of assigned actions.

Review documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with governance requirements.

Draft professional communications, summaries, reports, and program updates for leadership and project teams.

Maintain organized and accurate program files, records, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

Strong hands-on knowledge of IBM Maximo Mobile.

Experience with Maximo Spatial, Managing Inspections, and Maximo Application Suite.

Experience developing, revising, or supporting Maximo inspection forms.

Experience training end users on mobile applications.

Ability to troubleshoot mobile application issues reported by users in the field.

Understanding of electric utility plant operations, including fossil generation, hydro generation, and transmission.

Experience supporting technical, engineering, operational, or compliance-driven programs.

Ability to follow structured templates, procedures, and governance requirements accurately.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to learn new systems, standards, and processes quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous utility or transmission-industry experience.

Experience supporting plant inspections, operator rounds, or security inspections.

Familiarity with project-management tools and document-control systems.

Experience creating SOPs, workflows, compliance materials, templates, and project dashboards.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Assignment Requirements

Candidates must reside within the Tri-State area.

Candidates must be eligible to work as W-2 employees of the staffing provider.

This position is not fully remote and requires at least three days onsite each week, with the possibility of additional onsite days based on business needs.

Candidates must have appropriate personal computer equipment and a reliable internet connection for virtual workdays.

Work is paid based on actual hours worked. The assignment does not include paid vacation, sick leave, or work during designated organizational holidays., TH Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm F Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
