- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering and 2-4 years of related experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).\n
- Experience in Building Envelope Design.\n
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.\n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\n
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.\n
- Ability to travel up to 10%.\n, * Knowledge of Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities.\n
- Familiarity with NASET/NASEB facilities, HVAC, power systems, general construction, HAZMAT, fire detection, security, site work.\n
- Experience with shelters, roofing, communication towers, Navigational Aids, earthwork, roads, and trenching.\n
- Knowledge of Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12.\n

Leidos is seeking a \nDrafting Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Engineering Services Group within the National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program. In this role, you’ll apply your technical expertise to a variety of complex engineering assignments that directly support the modernization and sustainment of critical FAA infrastructure.\n \n You will work with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with Project Engineers to deliver high-quality, site-specific engineering documentation and solutions.\n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities\n \n \n
- Develop site-specific project plans, drawings, and specifications used for engineering project solicitation and contracting.\n
- Conduct site surveys, gather field data, and research all relevant standards, codes, and ordinances (state, local, federal, FAA).\n
- Analyze survey findings and provide actionable recommendations and engineering solutions.\n
- Prepare concise trip reports within two business days, including scope of work, drawing lists, ORM checklists, and other required project documentation.\n
- Provide essential inputs for Purchase Requests (PRs), NAS Change Proposals (NCPs), Airspace case documents, and government-furnished property lists.\n
- Generate cost estimates, project schedules, and environmental/safety compliance assessments per FAA standards and guidelines.\n
- Support all phases of construction and renovation projects, including reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, and compliance with technical requirements.\n
- Participate in Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI), offering recommendations for engineering-related issues.\n
- Conduct feasibility and cost-benefit engineering studies.\n
- Create accurate and FAA-compliant project drawings.\n
