Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related IT/Engineering field - Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science/Information Technology, Instrumentation, Controls, or equivalent knowledge and experience\n
- 1 - 3 years working with and supporting GE Controller, Bently or other M&D Field Products.\n
- 1-3 years working with ControlST Software (ToolboxST, WorkstationST, etc)\n
- Working knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2022,2025)\n
- Experience working in an independent and highly matrix environment, coordinating across multiple sites, functions, and time zones\n, * Prefer experience with supporting network- or cyber-security requirements, especially for NERC CIP customers\n
- Prefer experience with Proficy Historian products\n
- Prefer experience driving RCA and defect resolution with development teams (Controls, NPI, etc.)\n
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and critical thinking Skills\n
- Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.\n
- Capable of switching between tasks based on priority and be able to communicate priority & urgency to leadership.\n
- Experience working with thermal and/or aero asset sites.\n
- Green Belt Certification, or Lean/Company equivalent\n
- Experience working in a global environment.\n

- Knowledge of Servicenow and case management.\n

The Local Platform Support Engineer is responsible for providing support for Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) Center’s local platform (On Site Monitors, peripheral devices, associated network equipment and applications), supporting system improvement initiatives and customer communications.\n \n \nJob Description\n \n \nRoles and Responsibilities\n \n \n
- Support Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) Center’s local platform - On Site Monitors, peripheral devices, associated network equipment and applications.\n

- Improve data availability from controller and other site devices such as vibration, dynamics, and plant data.\n
- Support and improve OSM health management for the fleet.\n
- Work with development team to test new applications and provide input on enhancements and defects.\n
- Support fleet improvement and update initiatives as needed.\n
- Drive issue resolution for both internal and external customers.\n
- Support initiatives to improve data quality and trip reliability\n
- Implement automation efforts to support proactive issue prevention and/or resolution.\n
- Draft training and troubleshooting documentation.\n
