Project Engineer I - Fuel Systems

• Apply engineering knowledge, tools, and principals to develop/improve aircraft Fuel Systems
• Works under the direction of Sr/Lead Project Engineer
• Assignments are geared to develop project management and technical skills and to build in-depth product knowledge
• Work closely with peers and team members, customers, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met and completed in a timely manner
• Supports technical projects or phases of projects involving the design and development of new products or improvement of core products and/or processes
• Plans work packages and develops cost, schedule, and milestones for small to medium product development activitiesInterface with technical leadership, program manager, and customers

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 0-2 years of experience in engineering or related roles, preferably with internship or co-op experience
• Basic understanding of project management principles and engineering processes
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to learn technical software relevant to the discipline.

• 1+ years’ experience managing engineering projects autonomously and without supervision

• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
• Demonstrated experience with design tools appropriate for the field (Mathcad / Matlab, 3D Solid Modeling CAD Systems etc.)
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
• Demonstrated extra-curricular/leadership experience, Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
