Job description

Akkodis is seeking a New Model Program Engineer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate must have strong program management experience, with the ability to track, prioritize, and resolve issues collaboratively to ensure launch readiness and on-time delivery. Rate Range: $30/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. New Model Program Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Manage new vehicle and powertrain launch programs, ensuring adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality objectives. Lead issue tracking and resolution efforts by partnering with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and close launch-related concerns. Coordinate and oversee pre-production build events, ensuring successful execution and readiness for production. Manage pre-production vehicle fleets, including vehicle ordering, build management, testing, evaluation, and disposition activities. Monitor and facilitate engineering/design changes, ensuring updates are validated and implemented before prototype and production builds. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, or a related technical field. Minimum 1+ year of experience in vehicle/powertrain operations, manufacturing, design, or program management, along with 4+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project). Demonstrated program management experience with the ability to maintain issue logs, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive issue resolution through completion. Strong understanding of new product launch processes, manufacturing operations, engineering change management, and pre-production build activities.
