Job description

An employer is looking for a NOC Help Desk candidate in the Tampa, FL, area. The candidate will be working in a NOC that doubles as a call/support center for their customer. This position focuses on tier 2 network troubleshooting support. The candidate will be responsible for working on any escalated tickets as well as network monitoring.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience within a helpdesk environment
  • Good understanding of network troubleshooting to include connectivity and latency
  • Understanding of ports, protocols, IP addresses
  • Basic Windows and Linux commands
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

1st Half of the Week - 2nd Shift

  • Sunday: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Monday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Weekend 2nd Shift

  • Friday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM

  • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

  • Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

  • Monday: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Training Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

  • 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Typically three weeks in duration - Physical security experience (access controls, CCTV, cameras, etc)
  • Data center experience
  • IT certifications (A+, Network+, Security+)
