Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2-4 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 1-3 years.\n
  • Experience testing or integrating systems across multiple technical domains\n
  • Experience with operating containerized Linux software and deploying software to air-gapped systems\n
  • Problem solving mindset that covers multiple technical domains with a focus on delivering products\n
  • Strong organizational and communication skills\n
  • Must be a U.S. citizen\n
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret and Top Secret security clearance\n
  • Reside in or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area\n, * Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline\n
  • Strong background in EW concepts, such as electronic attack, electronic protection, and electronic support\n
  • Experience with system engineering, verification processes, test planning, and execution\n
  • Experience operating systems at government test ranges\n
  • Demonstrated experience developing electronic warfare, RF systems, or radar software in a team-based environment\n
  • Deep expertise in electronic warfare systems and architectures\n
  • Solid foundation in modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD and test-driven development\n
  • Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design, with experience in performance-critical applications\n
  • Experience with GPU acceleration (CUDA), MATLAB, or advanced algorithm development\n
  • Familiarity with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware/software integration\n
  • Experience leading teams and building high-performance engineering organizations\n
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD EW programs\n
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance\n

  • This position is based at Leidos’ main campus in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will partner with executive leadership, program managers, chief engineers, and cross-functional teams to:\n
  • Integrate across multiple engineering disciplines covering the architecture, design, and development of advanced electronic warfare systems, including RF sensing, signal processing, and countermeasure capabilities\n
  • Provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle, ensuring alignment with mission requirements, performance constraints, and system integration needs\n
  • Specifically operate and execute critical testing of real-time, high-performance software supporting EW and radar platforms, including embedded and distributed systems.\n
  • Physically deploy radar systems, boot test software, execute open air experiments, report on the efficacy of those experiments, and drive technical recommendations and solutions for how to improve the systems\n
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including DevSecOps, automated testing, and configuration management\n
