Job description
The Epic Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the implementation, configuration, and basic support of Epic applications across various modules, such as Revenue Cycle, Inpatient, Ambulatory, Procedural, and Ancillary. This role collaborates with clinical and operational teams to learn business workflows, troubleshoot basic issues, and support end-user training. Location: Please note this is a hybrid position with a set scheduled 3 days (Tues - Thurs) per month onsite in Springfield, IL. Travel expenses are covered per our company guidelines for non-local employees. We are happy to offer the flexibility of a hybrid position with some remote/ at home flexibility. Please note you must reside in one of our approved states in order to be considered: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin are the approved states., Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with configure, build, and maintain Epic applications to align with business needs.
- Assist with system testing, issue resolution, and application troubleshooting.
- Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
- Assist with system demonstrations and training sessions for staff.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements.
- Work closely with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful system implementations.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance.
- Contribute to Epic-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices. Requirements
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Epic Certification: Certification in one or more Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Willow, Orders, Epic Resolute, Epic Inpatient, Epic Ambulatory, OpTime, Radiant, Beaker, etc.) required within 1 year of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum one year’s experience in Information Technology including project management, advanced support management or other similar experience or two years clinical experience and/or relevant system experience in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems required.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
