Join us as a Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Flight Test Ground Station Engineering Manager – Level 5 with our legendary Skunk Works® organization. The Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer’s most difficult challenges. A successful manager will oversee a team of ground station engineers engaged in devising practical solutions for challenging problems., Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to maintain a Top Secret clearance with special program access
  • Leadership system experience to include hiring, timecards, performance reviews, counseling, promotions, recognition, training, etc.
  • Proven Flight Test experience

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline
  • Security+ certification
  • Experience in engineering documentation, configuration control and change boards, and systems management
  • History interfacing directly with DoD customers

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
