Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Or related field, We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll Functional SME to support post-go-live operations across Oracle Cloud Payroll and Core HR. This is primarily a functional role requiring deep experience with weekly and biweekly payroll processing, production support, payroll troubleshooting and reconciliation. The consultant will work directly with payroll administrators and business users to support payroll cycles, resolve production issues and implement continuous improvements. The ideal candidate must also possess a strong technical understanding of Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL, Payroll Flows, reports, dashboards and custom integrations., * Provide post-go-live functional and production support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll and Core HR.

  • Work directly with payroll administrators to support weekly and biweekly payroll processing.
  • Support the complete payroll cycle, including payroll preparation, calculation, validation, prepayments, payment processing and post-payroll activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving payroll calculations, element entries, balances, deductions, earnings, costing and payment results.
  • Perform pre-payroll and post-payroll reconciliation to confirm payroll accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze and correct payroll exceptions, calculation errors and data discrepancies before payroll completion.
  • Troubleshoot, modify and test Payroll Fast Formulas supporting earnings, deductions, accruals, validations and other payroll requirements.
  • Support Payroll Flows, flow patterns, checklists, scheduled processes and payroll-related batch processing.
  • Assist with payroll costing, retroactive processing, balance adjustments, element configuration and payroll relationship issues.
  • Provide functional support for employee, assignment and payroll-related transactions originating from Core HR.
  • Work directly with Payroll, HR and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and design practical solutions.
  • Prepare functional requirements, process flows, data mappings and functional design documents for custom integrations, reports and dashboards.
  • Provide functional guidance to Oracle HCM technical developers working on HCM Extracts, HDL integrations, BI Publisher reports, OTBI dashboards and other customizations.
  • Mentor HCM developers by explaining Payroll business rules, data dependencies, Fast Formula requirements and expected integration behavior.
  • Validate inbound and outbound payroll integrations and assist in resolving interface failures.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support when needed and validate proposed patches, workarounds and product recommendations.
  • Participate in regression testing associated with Oracle quarterly releases and production fixes.
  • Maintain production-support documentation, payroll-processing procedures, issue logs and reconciliation reports.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll and Core HR.
  • Proven experience supporting Oracle Payroll in a post-go-live production environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of weekly and biweekly payroll processing.
  • Strong functional knowledge of payroll preparation, calculation, prepayments, payments, costing and post-payroll reconciliation.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Payroll Fast Formulas and payroll-calculation issues.
  • Solid technical understanding of:

  • Payroll Fast Formulas
  • Payroll Flows and Flow Patterns
  • HCM Extracts
  • HCM Data Loader
  • BI Publisher and OTBI
  • Payroll inbound and outbound integrations
  • Oracle HCM data structures and integration dependencies
  • Ability to translate Payroll business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical developers.
  • Strong analytical and production-troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with payroll administrators and business users.

Ability to work onsite in New York four days per week. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring Oracle HCM technical developers.
  • Experience supporting high-volume or multi-state U.S. payroll.
  • Knowledge of payroll costing, retroactive pay, balance adjustments, year-end processing and statutory reporting.
  • Experience working with Oracle Support and managing payroll-related service requests.
  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud quarterly release testing.
