Job description

As a Manager HRIS your goal is to manage, implement and maintain all HR systems, services, and applications used to house or transport employee data for the Company. You’ll lead project coordination and day-to-day management for the Company’s Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) team and oversee vendor management to ensure system performance standards are met. Additionally, you’ll work to drive platform optimization, data integrity, and self-service. This role balances technical stewardship, operational leadership, and strategic oversight. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid

You will do this through:

  • System Administration & Maintenance: Leads the HRIS organization in configuring, updating, and optimizing HR applications while managing system integrations (payroll, benefits, recruiting), security permissions, and vendor relationships.
  • Business Partnership & Relationship Management: Partners directly with stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment and operational efficiency. Balances business priorities and technical requirements with team capacity.
  • Process Optimization: Identifies opportunities to standardize and automate manual HR tasks to create efficient and predictable HR workflows and improve user experience.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Enforces data governance practices, conducts routine audits to ensure employee record accuracy, and maintains compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Leads the HRIS organization in standardizing self-service reporting to improve access to real-time data and reduce the operational dependency on the HRIS team.
  • Strategic Technology & Roadmap Management: Maintains the HRIS roadmap and strategy, evaluating existing system performance against technological trends. Recommends enhancements or process-level solutions that leverage existing investments to achieve a modern, efficient HR environment.
  • Managerial Responsibilities & Budget Stewardship: Performs a full range of managerial duties including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing staff. Directs and assigns departmental work, oversees performance management, and manages the departmental budget to ensure cost-effectiveness: Handles hiring, performance management, coaching, work assignment, and departmental budget oversight.

Requirements

  • Outstanding diagnostic, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid communication and influencing skills to build trust across both technical and business-focused stakeholders
  • The ability to translate complex system issues into actionable business terms, * Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience managing Human Resource Information Systems within large, complex organizations
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience directly managing, mentoring, and developing internal professional and administrative staff
  • Minimum five (5) years managing vendor SLAs, performance, and contracts
  • Proven track record stabilizing HR systems and optimizing post-go-live processes
  • Experience with SAP and UKG integration preferred
  • Demonstrated accomplishments using HR Systems to support functional areas
  • Strong organization and time management skills necessary to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to influence change
  • Self-directed, flexible and team oriented
