Job description
The Product Owner II is responsible for executing the strategic direction, continuous improvement, functional and technical roadmap for the product or experience. Product Owners work with cross functional teams to:
- Understand how to compete and differentiate in product delivery
- Build the right foundations to create and scale differentiated experiences
- Plan, manage, and drive applications for success in meeting product experience goals
- Manage backlog of product deliverables, and groom according to learnings from qualitative and quantitative sources and in alignment with organizational goals
- Consult with stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions translating client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications and designs for solutions.
As a leader in the organization the Product Owner II will also be responsible for leadership activities inclusive but not limited to the following.
- Advising leadership on the technology portfolio within and sometimes outside of a product area of focus
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and directions, business systems and requirements to conduct independent analyses and reviews of technical and business requirements.
- Understanding the long-term business objectives and proposes technology strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or healthcare discipline.
- Nine or more years of related experience, In -depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms, tailor communication to audience, mediate and facilitate communications between others, and communicate architecture to all levels of management and customers. Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders to resolve significant architecture issues.
- Epic experience in Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, HIM and Access
- Epic certification is preferred.
Benefits & conditions
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $120,000.00 - $180,060.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
