Job description

The SQL Programmer is responsible for developing expert-level, reusable SQL code assets-including stored procedures, functions, and optimized queries-that strengthen the organization’s analytics environment. This role ensures high-quality data transformation, reliable data pipelines, and standardized logic that supports reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics., * Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL queries for various databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud platforms like Azure Data Lake and AWS.

  • Design and implement efficient database schemas and data models to support enterprise data warehouse architectures.
  • Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, and Shell Scripting to ensure accurate data integration from diverse sources such as Linked Data, Hadoop, and Apache Hive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop RESTful APIs for seamless data access and integration with other applications.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting to automate workflows and enhance data processing capabilities.
  • Support model training and analysis by preparing datasets, performing data analysis with Looker or similar BI tools, and ensuring data quality standards are met.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative improvements while adhering to best practices in database design, analysis skills, and analytics.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, * Proven experience with SQL programming in environments like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.

  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Data Lake.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica or Talend for efficient data pipeline development.
  • Experience working with Looker or other BI visualization tools for analytics reporting.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
  • Understanding of database design principles and data warehouse architecture.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development for integrating diverse systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets using analysis skills to derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with model training techniques for machine learning applications is a plus.
