Job description

This position operates on a Shift 1 schedule and reports to an Engineering Manager (MGL) within the Thin Films Metals Department., * Develop and execute both tactical and strategic plans to achieve performance goals related to safety, quality, equipment availability, DPML, training, and employee relations.

  • Lead the performance management, development, and employee relations activities for a team of engineers and technicians within the Thin Films Metals Department.
  • Partner with department leaders to operate as one team, ensuring consistency in performance, execution, and results across functional areas and shifts.
  • Support factory and segment initiatives through leadership participation in IMT, Production, and TMI teams.
  • Serve as a role model for the organization’s culture, setting high standards for behavior, performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational excellence by fostering a culture focused on safety, teamwork, employee engagement, and high performance.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates., * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering, and the required semiconductor process engineering experience as outlined below and 4+ years of process engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing., * Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering, and the required semiconductor process engineering experience as outlined below and 2+ years of process engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing., * Strong knowledge of semiconductor process flows, equipment troubleshooting, and Model-Based Problem Solving (MBPS) methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with vendor field service engineers and manufacturing/engineering technicians to support equipment performance and reliability.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and the ability to provide engineering leadership on quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience serving as a Tool Owner or Process Owner during technology development or technology transfer activities.
  • Technical experience supporting Thin Films processes and equipment.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Previous team leadership, project leadership, or mentoring experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment.
