Job description

We are seeking a Technical Datacenter Network Build-Out Project Manager III to support the deployment and expansion of large-scale datacenter infrastructure projects. This role coordinates and executes physical network infrastructure deployments within colocation and hyperscale datacenter environments while driving milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring operational readiness., * Manage and execute small to medium-sized workstreams within larger datacenter network deployment programs.

  • Coordinate physical network infrastructure deployments, including rack installation, fiber and copper cabling, hardware deployment, equipment moves, and related implementation activities.

  • Conduct regular datacenter and colocation facility walk-throughs to identify installation, quality, readiness, safety, and operational risks.

  • Proactively identify issues, dependencies, and blockers, then drive the appropriate escalation and resolution path.

  • Track project milestones, schedules, deliverables, deployment readiness, risks, and action items.

  • Partner with engineering, operations, logistics, construction, deployment teams, and vendors to support successful execution.

  • Monitor vendor and contractor activities to help ensure work aligns with documented quality, safety, and operational standards.

  • Support deployment planning, site logistics, hardware readiness, documentation, and infrastructure turnover activities.

  • Maintain clear project documentation and provide concise, accurate status updates to stakeholders.

  • Quickly learn and adopt customer-specific tools, processes, procedures, and reporting requirements.

  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies across deployment programs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines project management experience with a strong IT or datacenter operations foundation. This individual can independently identify issues, drive resolution, and execute smaller workstreams within broader infrastructure programs. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, technicians, and customer stakeholders., * 5+ years of project management experience supporting datacenter, infrastructure, networking, construction, or technical deployment projects.

  • Foundational IT infrastructure experience and an understanding of datacenter environments.

  • Experience working in colocation or large-scale datacenter facilities.

  • Working knowledge of physical network infrastructure, including fiber and copper cabling, rack-and-stack activities, hardware deployment, and installation best practices.

  • Ability to recognize field issues, assess next steps, and operate with limited day-to-day direction after expectations are established.

  • Strong organization, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to read and follow deployment plans, schedules, procedures, and infrastructure documentation.

  • Comfort spending significant time walking and working within active datacenter facilities.

  • Enjoys the work and contributes to a fun, accountable, high-performing team culture. * Previous experience supporting Microsoft environments or projects.

  • Experience with datacenter operations, network deployment, or datacenter expansion programs.

  • Experience with project tracking platforms, ticketing systems, and datacenter deployment tooling.

  • Familiarity with network deployment workflows and infrastructure lifecycle management.

  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, or a comparable project management certification.
