Job description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex data center and infrastructure initiatives across a large enterprise environment. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure modernization efforts.

A key focus of this role will be overseeing network refresh projects, including the replacement of legacy switches and other critical infrastructure components within data center environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

-Manage multiple infrastructure and data center projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

-Lead network modernization initiatives, including switch replacement and refresh programs across enterprise data center environments.

-Coordinate project activities between engineering teams, operations teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

-Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, status reports, and executive-level communications.

-Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and drive accountability across project teams.

-Identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

-Ensure infrastructure changes are properly planned, tested, documented, and executed according to established change management processes.

-Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

-Support resource planning and prioritize competing project demands across multiple workstreams.

-Collaborate with network, systems, security, and data center teams to ensure successful project execution.

-Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers involved in infrastructure deployments.

Requirements

5+ years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure, network, or data center projects.

-Strong understanding of networking concepts, including switches, routing, VLANs, and enterprise network environments.

-Experience managing hardware refreshes, infrastructure migrations, data center projects, or network modernization efforts.

-Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong project planning, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.

-Experience working with cross-functional technical teams, including network, systems, and security organizations.

-Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

-Experience utilizing project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Waterfall, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. -Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data center environments.

-Familiarity with change management and ITIL-based operational processes.

-Prior experience managing network refresh or switch replacement initiatives.

-Understanding of server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure environments.

-PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications preferred.

-Technical background in network engineering, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
