Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who enjoys building modern BI solutions and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of data and analytics within a growing business., We’re recruiting for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join an organisation that is genuinely investing in its data capability, modern technology stack and long-term analytics strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, influence decision making across the business and help drive the transition into a Microsoft Fabric environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong technical BI expertise with commercial thinking. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-scale Power BI solutions, developing scalable semantic models, and transforming complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insight for stakeholders across the organisation.

The position offers a high level of visibility within the business and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders to improve reporting, analytics and self-service BI capabilities. You’ll also play a key role in supporting wider data integration, modernisation and AI-driven analytics initiatives as the organisation continues to evolve its data platform., * Design, build and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models

  • Develop scalable dimensional and semantic data models using best-practice modelling techniques
  • Create advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex analytical requirements
  • Work with SQL and modern Microsoft data technologies to deliver robust and performant BI solutions
  • Support the organisation’s transition to Microsoft Fabric, helping shape the future BI and analytics architecture
  • Contribute to data integration, data governance and platform modernisation initiatives
  • Support emerging AI and advanced analytics initiatives by ensuring high-quality, trusted and accessible data foundations
  • Deliver insight-led reporting that supports both strategic and operational decision-making
  • Drive best practice across reporting, visualisation, semantic modelling and self-service analytics

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
  • Advanced DAX and strong SQL capability
  • Excellent understanding of dimensional modelling and BI data architecture principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data technologies, or similar modern cloud analytics platforms
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insight
  • Passion for modern BI, analytics and emerging data technologies
