Job description

This position supports a high-volume IT services operation by executing timely hardware deployments and refresh initiatives across multiple client locations. Success in this role ensures end users remain productive through accurate installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer equipment in field-based environments., * Stage, image, and configure laptops and desktop systems, including operating system deployment, software installation, domain enrollment, and shipment preparation.

  • Complete onsite hardware installations, upgrades, and device replacements in alignment with technical documentation and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Provide basic technical support such as password resets, printer configuration, and entry-level help desk troubleshooting.
  • Execute hardware relocation and rollout projects, including decommissioning, transport, and reinstallation of IT equipment.
  • Process retired or excess equipment by securely wiping drives, validating functionality, reimaging systems, and preparing assets for reuse or disposal.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in computer hardware deployment, IT field support, or comparable technical training.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required; travel throughout the DFW area is expected (rideshare services not permitted).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform extended periods of standing and walking during onsite assignments.

  • Equipment & Work Environment
  • Utilization of standard IT hand tools, system imaging platforms, and diagnostic software.
  • Hands-on support of laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Work performed in varied client settings, including corporate offices, warehouse spaces, and light industrial environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in field service or customer-facing technical support roles.
  • Familiarity with system deployment and imaging tools such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit), or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
