  • Work with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and create solutions that impact our customers, borrowers, and internal users.
  • Convert UX/UI concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready code, leveraging reusable component libraries and MUI design systems following industry best practices.
  • Lead code and design reviews, and mentor junior engineers, including establishing standards around AI-assisted development workflows to ensure consistent code quality and velocity.
  • Drive adoption of agentic development practices using tools like Claude CLI, structured markdown specs, and AI-assisted code generation.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage and assist in diagnosing and resolving issues, including leveraging AI tooling for faster root cause analysis.
  • Partner closely with backend engineers to design and integrate reliable APIs, optimize frontend-backend data flows, and ensure seamless end-to-end application performance across the full web stack.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of strong frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web application architecture.
  • Deep expertise in component-based architecture, React hooks, and modern state management, hands-on experience with Zustand, React Query, or similar lightweight state and data-fetching libraries preferred.
  • Proficiency with MUI (Material UI) and experience building, scaling, and maintaining reusable, composable design systems and component libraries.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end web application workflows, including frontend-backend integration, API-driven development, authentication flows, performance optimization, and production-grade application delivery.
  • Comfort working in an AI-assisted development environment, including prompt-driven workflows, markdown-based specs/documentation, and CLI tools such as Claude CLI or similar AI coding assistants.
  • Solid understanding of modern CSS, responsive design, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Benefits & conditions

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company funded match.
  • Mission-driven company with a 45+ year legacy and industry-leading products trusted by thousands of lenders.
  • Collaborative, supportive team known for long tenure, deep expertise, and a culture built on trust and integrity.
  • Help modernize and evolve the leading platform in private lending technology.
  • Beautiful Huntington Beach office with a tight-knit culture.
