At Kraken, we’re looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join our growing team in Hampshire. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the development of mission-critical software systems while gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will:
- Support the design, development and maintenance of software solutions
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code
- Assist with software testing, debugging and fault finding
- Support software integration with hardware and engineering systems
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Contribute to system validation and verification activities
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the team
Requirements
Are you a recent Software Engineering or Computer Science graduate looking to kick-start your career in a cutting-edge engineering environment?, Essential:
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Understanding of software development principles and programming concepts
- Experience with at least one programming language such as C, C++, Python or Java
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
Desirable
- Exposure to embedded software development
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Familiarity with Linux
- Experience gained through university projects, placements or internships
