Roles of this type typically sit within agile development teams delivering cloud-native and distributed systems across sectors such as financial services, life sciences and technology. You could find yourself working with modern microservices architectures, API testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, contributing to quality assurance across complex backend and frontend systems built on platforms such as Azure, AWS and Kubernetes., * Designing and implementing automated test frameworks and test infrastructure to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines

• Developing test scripts and automation solutions across APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Contributing to the development of test strategies and quality metrics that inform product decisions
• Collaborating with development teams to identify gaps in test coverage and improve overall code quality
• Maintaining and enhancing test automation assets across multiple environments and platforms
• Supporting the integration of testing practices into CI/CD workflows using tools and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Troubleshooting and debugging test failures, and documenting findings for development teams

• Strong experience in test automation and automated testing frameworks
• Working knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python or C#/.NET
• Understanding of SQL and database testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline principles and tools
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of distributed systems and asynchronous testing patterns
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with SAP systems or enterprise applications
• ISTQB certification or equivalent test automation qualification
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
