NextJS Developer

We’re looking to build our development capabilities with a NextJS Developer who can contribute to delivering modern, scalable web applications. This is an opportunity to work with an experienced team on contract-based projects using the latest frontend technologies., This NextJS Developer role could involve working on dynamic, user-focused applications within a collaborative technical environment. You would contribute to delivering frontend solutions that leverage React and NextJS frameworks, working alongside engineers who are focused on building robust, performant web experiences. The position is based in Manchester on a hybrid basis, offering flexibility alongside in-office collaboration., * Developing and maintaining NextJS applications with a focus on performance and user experience

• Building responsive, accessible frontend components using React best practices
• Collaborating with backend teams and other developers to integrate APIs and microservices
• Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript code and participating in code reviews
• Contributing to continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance across different environments
• Working within Agile delivery cycles to meet project milestones

• 5-10 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and demonstrated expertise with React
• Hands-on experience developing with NextJS in production environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
• Ability to work on a contract basis

Nice-to-have

• Agile/Scrum methodology experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools
• Experience working with APIs and microservices architecture
• Meta Front-End Developer Certificate or JavaScript certification (JSE/JSA)
• Proficiency with Excel or other office tools
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
