NextJS Developer

We’re looking to build our technical capabilities with a NextJS Developer who can contribute to delivering modern, scalable web applications. You could be working on client projects that demand expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, API integration, and distributed system thinking. The work could involve collaborating with backend engineers, product teams and stakeholders to build applications that scale, with scope to take ownership of defined frontend workstreams and contribute to technical decisions across the stack., * Developing and maintaining responsive user interfaces using NextJS and React

• Building and integrating with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Contributing to architectural decisions and code quality standards within the team
• Collaborating with backend engineers to design and implement distributed system components
• Writing unit and integration tests, and supporting CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Participating in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with peers
• Troubleshooting performance issues and optimizing application delivery

• 5-10 years’ experience in software development, with demonstrable expertise in React and JavaScript
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frontend tooling
• Experience building and consuming APIs, and understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with NextJS framework specifically
• Agile development methodology experience
• Exposure to distributed systems and asynchronous patterns
• Meta Front-End Developer Certificate or equivalent JavaScript certification
• Proficiency in complementary languages (Python, Java, Bash)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
