SAP Systems Architect

This contract position could offer the chance to work on SAP architecture design and integration strategy within a dynamic technology environment. Roles of this type may involve partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, assess system capabilities, and guide the delivery of enterprise solutions. You could be working with organisations undergoing SAP modernisation, SAP S/4HANA migration, or SAP RISE adoption, where your input could influence the direction and success of transformational programmes., * Designing SAP technical architectures aligned with business requirements and compliance frameworks

• Defining integration strategies across SAP landscapes, APIs, microservices and cloud platforms
• Assessing and recommending SAP solutions including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and SAP RISE
• Collaborating with stakeholders to establish SAP governance frameworks and technical standards
• Supporting the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD practices
• Providing technical leadership and architectural guidance on complex system design decisions
• Contributing to process improvement and data pipeline architecture where relevant to SAP ecosystems, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Strong expertise in SAP architecture design and SAP technical leadership
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP RISE implementations
• Deep knowledge of integration strategies, APIs and microservices within enterprise environments
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, CI/CD practices, and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with databases, SQL, and data quality considerations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with BPMN, UML or system modelling practices
• Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Power BI or infrastructure-as-code approaches
• Understanding of SAP governance frameworks and technical governance models
• Knowledge of Azure, .NET, ASP.NET, React, Java or Spring Boot ecosystems
• Experience with Linux, Bash scripting or DevOps practices

The role is based in Birmingham, West Midlands, England, offered on a contract basis at £650-850 per day, dependent on experience and technical depth.
