SAP Architect

You could be involved in programme work ranging from SAP ECC to S/4HANA transitions, SAP RISE cloud adoption, or complex integration strategies using modern microservices and API-led architectures. The environment could require you to work across distributed systems, consider cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, and ensure solutions meet governance and data quality standards through frameworks such as CSDR and QMS., * Designing SAP architecture solutions aligned with business strategy, covering system landscape, integration patterns and technology stack selection

• Defining SAP technical leadership across ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud-native deployment models such as SAP RISE
• Creating and maintaining architecture governance frameworks, ensuring solutions align with organisational standards and compliance requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business process requirements into technical specifications using frameworks such as BPMN and UML
• Developing SAP integration strategies using modern approaches: APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Supporting data pipeline design and data quality initiatives to ensure enterprise information integrity
• Contributing to technology decisions around cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure as code (Terraform) and monitoring solutions
• Mentoring technical teams and raising architectural standards across projects, * Opportunity to influence enterprise technology strategy and shape the architectural direction of critical business systems

• Contract-based flexibility with competitive daily rates of £650-850 per day, dependent on experience and expertise

• 5+ years’ experience in SAP systems architecture or senior SAP technical delivery roles
• Deep knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA architecture, including implementation approaches and upgrade pathways
• Strong understanding of SAP integration strategy, including APIs, microservices, and modern cloud-native patterns
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration technologies and distributed systems design
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code principles
• Experience across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
• Understanding of data pipeline design, data quality frameworks and enterprise data governance
• Proficiency with SQL and scripting (Bash, Python or similar)
• Familiarity with SAP governance frameworks and quality management systems
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on experience with SAP RISE or cloud migration programmes
• Knowledge of business process modelling (BPMN) and architecture documentation standards (UML)
• Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or React for integration layer development
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability tools
• Understanding of financial analysis or process improvement methodologies applied to enterprise systems
