DevOps Specialist

Roles of this type typically sit within engineering teams tasked with modernising infrastructure, optimising deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability at scale. You could be working with cloud platforms, containerisation technologies and infrastructure-as-code tooling to support development teams in delivering faster, more resilient applications. The work could involve collaborating with software engineers, system administrators and product teams to design solutions that improve deployment frequency, reduce downtime and raise operational standards., * Designing, deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery

• Managing containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Provisioning and configuring cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GCP using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Supporting development teams in migrating applications to cloud-native architectures
• Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents and implementing reliability improvements
• Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Documenting infrastructure decisions, deployment processes and runbooks
• Contributing to platform standardisation and operational best practices

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices in production environments
• Working knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of networking, security and scalability principles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice-to-have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification
• Experience with Terraform, Bash or Python for automation
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and APIs
• Knowledge of data pipeline design and quality assurance
• Exposure to SAP environments or enterprise applications
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
