About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future DevOps Specialist opportunities within cloud infrastructure and automation, roles that could support the delivery of scalable, reliable systems across modern technology stacks.

Roles of this type may sit within collaborative engineering teams working across distributed systems and containerised environments. The work could involve partnering with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes and Docker deployments, and ensure infrastructure stability and performance. You could have scope to influence how applications are built, tested and released into production., * Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes

  • Managing containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker across cloud environments
  • Provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Supporting deployment of applications across Azure, AWS and GCP platforms
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues and optimising infrastructure efficiency
  • Collaborating with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and reduce time-to-production
  • Maintaining documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations and runbooks
  • Contributing to the improvement of DevOps practices and tooling across teams, * Hands-on technical work with modern cloud platforms and DevOps tooling
  • Scope to improve deployment automation and infrastructure reliability
  • Exposure to microservices, distributed systems and contemporary architecture patterns
  • Potential progression toward senior technical or specialist DevOps roles, where supported by the role facts
  • Collaborative culture with development and infrastructure teams
  • Flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to strategic infrastructure decisions

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or systems engineering
  • Strong knowledge of containerisation and orchestration: Kubernetes and Docker
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code: Terraform or equivalent
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python or similar
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice-to-have

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification
  • Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of containerised application monitoring and observability tools
  • Familiarity with .NET, ASP.NET, Java or Spring Boot environments
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
