The successful candidate must be a confident, innovative, systems developer with a background in .NET and related technologies, who is ready to hit the ground running.
The Role Will Involve Working on a wide variety of new and existing projects across multiple platforms (Web, Desktop and Mobile) using the Microsoft .NET stack. The team works on both internal and customer-facing applications; and the successful applicant will be expected to provide support to end-users.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle. They should have experience in designing, coding, and testing applications; and should be comfortable coding in a variety of languages.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with .NET technologies, specifically ASP.NET.
- Practical experience working with SQL or NoSQL Databases.
- Knowledge of RESTFful concepts and architectures.
- Strong proficiency working with real-time, event-driven data, using TCP/IP or Web Sockets.
- A passion for clean, reusable code; following SOLID principles, and DDD.
- Ability to perform debugging and troubleshooting across multiple environments including Linux and Windows servers.
- Working knowledge of version control systems (Git/SVN).
- High analytical capability.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to travel to different locations.
- A current full UK driving licence.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Project management methodologies - including Agile.
- Experience developing for, and deploying to, cloud computing platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Experience working on microservice based systems.
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, k8s).
- Experience working with .NET desktop technologies, such as WPF and WinForms.
- Embedded systems development.
