Software Engineer

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Software Engineer contract positions within our Manchester office. Roles of this type could involve designing and delivering microservices-based applications, working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and collaborating across cross-functional delivery teams to solve complex technical challenges., * Contributing to the design and development of microservices and API-driven architectures

• Writing clean, maintainable code using languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Building and optimising data pipelines and ensuring data quality across systems
• Working with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborating on CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation
• Participating in code reviews and sharing knowledge with team members
• Supporting integration with cloud platforms, databases and enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Solid experience with at least one of the following: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Working knowledge of microservices, APIs and distributed systems
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively

Nice-to-have

• AWS Certified Developer - Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or Professional Scrum Developer (PSD I)
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration
• Exposure to React or modern front-end frameworks
• Experience with data pipeline tools or Power BI
• Linux command line proficiency
• Understanding of BPMN or UML design patterns
