Job description

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Software Engineer contract positions within our Manchester office. Roles of this type could involve designing and delivering microservices-based applications, working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and collaborating across cross-functional delivery teams to solve complex technical challenges., * Contributing to the design and development of microservices and API-driven architectures

Writing clean, maintainable code using languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
Building and optimising data pipelines and ensuring data quality across systems
Working with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Collaborating on CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation
Participating in code reviews and sharing knowledge with team members
Supporting integration with cloud platforms, databases and enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
Solid experience with at least one of the following: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
Working knowledge of microservices, APIs and distributed systems
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively

Nice-to-have

AWS Certified Developer - Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or Professional Scrum Developer (PSD I)
Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration
Exposure to React or modern front-end frameworks
Experience with data pipeline tools or Power BI
Linux command line proficiency
Understanding of BPMN or UML design patterns
