Job description

Roles of this type may sit within development teams delivering APIs, microservices and distributed systems across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. The work could involve collaborating on end-to-end delivery of solutions using technologies such as .NET, ASP.NET, React, Java and Spring Boot, with scope to take ownership of defined workstreams and improve delivery standards. You could be working across CI/CD pipelines, containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, and data quality frameworks, supporting teams that value both technical depth and collaborative problem-solving., * Delivering features and components across microservices and distributed systems architecture

  • Contributing to API design, development and integration across platforms
  • Working with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and deployment
  • Collaborating on cloud infrastructure work, including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Supporting data pipeline development and data quality assurance
  • Writing clean, maintainable code in languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, React, Java, Python or Bash
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to raising technical standards within the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot, Python or similar backend technologies
  • Working knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems concepts
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database design
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or Professional Scrum Developer (PSD I) certification
  • Experience with SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE) or enterprise integration patterns
  • Background in data pipelines, data quality, or business process modelling (BPMN, UML)
