Senior Data Engineer

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Own the ingestion and processing of large national datasets
• Develop data models, reporting databases and analytical datasets
• Build automated data quality checks and monitoring
• Improve the performance, reliability and cost of data workloads
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams on data requirements
• Support data governance, security and compliance
• Help shape data architecture and mentor other engineers

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL / T-SQL and data modelling experience
• Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL
• Experience building and managing data pipelines
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar
• Good understanding of data quality, governance and security
• Experience working with large and complex datasets
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies
• Experience with Cosmos DB, Power BI, Docker and Terraform would be beneficial

We are a well-established SaaS company based in Huddersfield and offer a Senior Data Engineer role within our growing technology team. This is a hands-on opportunity to join a successful, tech-first business where data sits at the heart of the products we deliver. We offer a salary of £60,000-£65,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with circa 1-2 days onsite in Huddersfield, and the chance to take genuine ownership of the data engineering function.
