Job description

You’ll get real ownership of projects across the full software life cycle - from requirements and design through to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Think business-critical systems, cloud-based solutions, integrations, and platforms that scale - all in a collaborative team where your input genuinely shapes the outcome., * Designing, building, and maintaining Java and J2EE applications that support key business processes

  • Working across the full stack on a variety of development projects
  • Getting involved in solution design, technical discussions, peer reviews, and walkthroughs
  • Supporting integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and connected digital solutions
  • Troubleshooting production issues and delivering solid, lasting fixes
  • Writing clear documentation for handover and knowledge sharing
  • Contributing to build, deployment, release, and continuous improvement practices
  • Working closely with stakeholders to turn requirements into practical solutions

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ commercial experience in Java/J2EE development, Front End and Back End
  • Strong knowledge of J2EE, RESTful Web Services, and frameworks such as Struts
  • Solid understanding of unit, integration, system, and regression testing
  • Confidence with Git, SVN, and Eclipse
  • A practical, collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Genuine curiosity about modern development practices and new technology

Nice to have:

  • Docker or Kubernetes
  • UNIX/Linux experience
  • Build, configuration, and release management
  • APIs and system integration experience
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Additional languages such as C++, Python, Perl, or JavaScript
