Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Center Substation Designer to join a top 10-ranked engineering client. The Designer will be joining the client’s Resources group focused on supporting their clients’ data center projects. These individuals will be supporting a variety of projects and will be responsible for designing substations within Revit and AutoCAD. There’s a strong preference for candidates with substation design experience, however, the client will train on that piece as long as the individual has strong Revit and AutoCAD design experience.

Requirements

3-5+ years of Revit experience

1+ year AutoCAD design experience

Experience designing substations is preferred; will also consider candidates from electrical, structural, mechanical, and oil refinery industries (or similar)

Strong communication skills and self-starters Substation design experience

Mentorship/training experience within Revit

Benefits & conditions

This is a hybrid role where 3 days in office will be required per week (depending on location, it may require more during the contract period). 6-month contract-to-hire role where the client is looking for people who want to grow long term within the company. The candidate ideally sits in the Kansas City, MS office but the client is also open to people sitting in Chicago, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Billings and Kansas City. Hourly pay range is $45-$65 per hour, pending background and experience. Full benefits are able to opt into both on contract and at conversion.
