Power BI Performance Monitor Data Management Tools for Reporting

Job description

EMEA Infrastructure Development team is seeking a Senior Project Controller to provide independent oversight of project cost performance across the EMEA Real Estate portfolio partnering with Construction Project Managers, Design, Procurement, and Finance.

You will help shift the organization from ad-hoc cost tracking to a structured, transparent controls partnership, improving forecast accuracy, spend visibility, and execution quality while regional teams stay focused on delivery. What You’ll Do

  • Track approved budgets, commitments, expenditures, and invoiced costs across the portfolio
  • Preparation of portfolio-level cost performance reviews and reporting for leadership
  • Support change management - change orders, scope changes, pricing review - and help keep spending aligned with approved scope and budgets
  • Help identify and escalate cost, scope, and delivery
  • Support KPI tracking, portfolio reporting validation, and standardized project/executive reporting (dashboards, Power BI, status reports)
  • Support data quality, master data alignment, and dashboard governance across regional project data
  • Act as a key stakeholder during ATP (Authorization to Proceed) and major project gate reviews
  • Support milestone tracking and schedule visibility where needed; extended planning ownership may expand as the function develops
  • Help establish controlling function as it scales - scope, deliverables, processes, and collaboration models with regional teams and HQ
  • Pilot and refine approaches, act as a trusted partner to regional teams, reducing PM reporting burden so they can focus on delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in project controls, cost management, budgeting, and forecast analysis - preferably in retail, commercial, or multi-site infrastructure environments
  • Experience supporting full lifecycle CapEx projects or multi-project programs - budget approval through close-out
  • Track record of tracking budgets, commitments, forecasts and change orders on construction or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and reporting tools (Power BI a plus); familiarity with scheduling/controls methods is a plus
  • Comfortable working independently, challenging assumptions with data, and presenting to executive stakeholders
  • English required; additional European languages a plus. Willingness to engage with project teams across EMEA
