User Experience Designer (Entry Level) - Houston, TX

The contractor is tasked with designing intuitive, high-quality products through collaboration with end users and modern software development teams. This assignment involves working directly with end users to collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data through formal research methods. The insights gathered are used to inform product-related hypotheses, recommendations, and user stories in the product backlog. The contractor should have experience in one or more disciplines such as user research, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design. The contractor should be skilled in translating user needs into visual assets and be familiar with rapid prototyping and visualization techniques.

Assignment Tasks:

• Conducting interviews and performing user research
• Collaborating with end users and development teams to design intuitive products
• Conducting surveys and analyzing quantitative data
• Expertise in typography and visual design
• Creating mockups and prototypes to visualize design concepts
• Utilizing usability and mental models in design strategy
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Developing design strategies and iconography
• Creating UI/UX wireframes and application designs
• Developing and refining user interfaces
• Reporting and documenting design processes

• Tools or Technology: Familiarity with Microsoft systems
• Must Haves: Experience with Excel and Outlook
• Nice to Haves: Experience within retail
• Education: High School Diploma
• Years of Experience: 0-3 years
