Job description

Cyberlocke is seeking an experienced Azure ETL Architect to design and lead enterprise data integration, migration, and transformation solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

This role is responsible for defining the architecture, standards, patterns, and technical direction for extracting data from source systems, transforming it into trusted and governed information, and loading it into modern cloud-based data platforms. The Azure ETL Architect will lead the design of scalable pipelines supporting data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, analytics platforms, artificial intelligence solutions, and operational integrations.

The successful candidate will work closely with enterprise architects, data engineers, business analysts, data governance teams, application owners, security professionals, and customer stakeholders. This position requires deep experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL, data modeling, cloud architecture, and large-scale data migration., * ETL and Data Integration Architecture

Work Environment

This position may be performed onsite or in a hybrid environment. The Azure ETL Architect may occasionally be required to participate in customer workshops, migration events, production cutovers, or critical release activities outside normal business hours.

Some customer engagements may require travel, background screening, or compliance with customer-specific security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in ETL, ELT, data integration, data engineering, or data warehouse development.
  • Three or more years of experience designing data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting enterprise data pipelines and migration solutions.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipelines, activities, datasets, linked services, triggers, parameters, and integration runtimes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud lakehouse and analytics platforms.
  • Advanced SQL and data-transformation skills.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, or another data-processing language.
  • Experience designing data lake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and Medallion architectures.
  • Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and analytical data modeling.
  • Experience integrating cloud, on-premises, SaaS, database, API, file, and legacy data sources.
  • Experience with full, incremental, and change-data-capture loading patterns.
  • Experience developing source-to-target mappings and transformation specifications.
  • Experience with data-quality validation, reconciliation, metadata, lineage, and auditing.
  • Understanding of Azure security, identity, networking, and secrets-management principles.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
  • Strong architecture documentation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills., * Deep experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, notebooks, shortcuts, dataflows, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Delta Lake, Delta tables, Spark, and distributed data processing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data-governance programs.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Power BI, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, or other artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Oracle, SAP HANA, SAP ECC, Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, student information systems, financial systems, human resources systems, customer relationship management platforms, or electronic health record systems.
  • Experience designing API-led, message-based, event-driven, or streaming integrations.
  • Familiarity with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Kafka, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
  • Experience leading data modernization programs in education, healthcare, government, financial services, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience estimating enterprise data engineering projects and developing statements of work.
  • Experience working in consulting, professional services, or customer-facing architecture roles.
