Job description
The Data Analytics & Impact Reporting Specialist is the primary architect of BVMI’s data narrative. This role is responsible for transforming complex clinical and operational data into compelling impact reports, white papers, and analytical articles. Serving as the sole technical lead for BVMI’s data infrastructure (Alteryx, Athenahealth, Snowflake, and Tableau), this role provides the evidence-based foundation for BVMI’s thought leadership and strategic storytelling., Data Infrastructure & System Maintenance (Approx. 30% of time):
- Technical Lead: Maintain data connections, administration, and optimization across Alteryx, Athenahealth, Snowflake, and Tableau.
- ETL Management: Maintain and update existing ETL workflows to transform and prepare data for analysis.
- Optimization & Uptime: Build select dashboards for operational efficiency and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure reporting reliability.
Clinical & Operational Data Analysis (Approx. 30% of time):
- Insight Generation: Conduct targeted analyses on patient demographics, social determinants of health, and clinical outcomes to demonstrate organizational impact.
- Compliance & Recognition: Prepare data submissions for national recognition programs (e.g., American Heart Association, Road to Health Equity, NAFC).
- Operational Trends: Track and report key patient volume and healthcare trends to inform leadership.
Impact Reporting & Visualizations (Approx. 25% of time):
- Data Visualization: Create high-impact visual summaries and infographics translating clinical outcomes into digestible insights for non-technical audiences.
- Impact Strategy & Reporting: Lead data collection and provide core analytics for BVMI’s Impact Reports and strategic publications.
- Impact Benchmarking: Maintain frameworks to compare BVMI’s outcomes against national health equity standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (Approx. 15% of time):
- Strategic Resource: Serve as the data partner for Development and Clinical teams, providing validated metrics for donor stewardship.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, Tableau, and ETL concepts required.
- Experience: Proven experience in impact assessment and performance metrics reporting within the nonprofit or healthcare sector.
- Communication: Strong ability to translate complex data into clear visual summaries and actionable recommendations.
